So nice of you to think of us down here.
Honestly, it has been a little weird. Just last Friday, a week ago, South Beach FLOODED like no one's business. Cars were floating in the street and stranded everywhere. It was actually a pretty frightening sight. It is really hard to explain -- Miami Beach is actually an island off the mainland coast. So, on certain parts of SoBe, the OCEAN was in the streets. That, my friend, is pretty darn scary. Late Friday night I had to go to South Beach to pick up friends who were stranded at work.
Thankfully, I live on the mainland on a 17th floor, so I was okay, as long as I stayed inside.
Today, by contrast, it is an absolutely gorgeous beach day. Funny how that happens.
