teachers in Columbia area?

Cross-posted/changed slightly, because I'm still undecided as to whether I'm going to school in Baltimore or Columbia. Sorry for the double post, but I figured I'd ask about both areas since either is a possibility.

Anyway...voice teachers in the Columbia area? I'm a soubrette/light lyric soprano in search of a good 'technician'. The artistry/interpretation/character aspects of singing come fairly naturally to me, but I haven't been singing that long and still need a LOT of work on the technical!

Also, as I said in my Baltimore post, I work best with easygoing personalities. I want a teacher that will challenge me, but I don't do well with high-strung "type A" teachers.

I'm willing to drive up to 1.5 hours for lessons-- obviously closer would be better, but if the teacher is fantastic then it's worth the drive.

I know absolutely nothing about the area, so any recommendations or info you can give me will be so very much appreciated! happy.gif
