Santa Fe with no air conditioningMay 4 2009 at 2:14 AM | Anonymous (Login Boyishbass82) NFCS Member |

The place I rented for the summer has "natural cooling", but no central AC to speak of.
Am I going to burn up in Santa Fe this summer. Should I invest in a window unit?
Thanks a lot.

August might suck but other than that, you will probably be fine. A fan is a must for me if there is no cross breeze in a room no matter the season.
Have fun!

A lot of houses in Santa fe don't have AC. It is cool at night. You should be fine. |

...at the CVS on Paseo (the part up closer to the freeway to the opera house) for about 90 bucks, popped it into the window, and was fine. The bedroom in the place I lived was roasting at night and it was unbearable...I was also worried about my two cats being too hot all day long since they seemed really uncomfortable, and this was a great solution.
There are tons of big box stores on Cerrillos, and you should also be able to pick one up cheap there, and sell it on Craigslist at the end of summer, make some $$ back.
Have fun! |
