Once again, this discussion page was down for several days and the hosting site was at fault. I have had it with them! This ongoing problem has made me decide to take this site to the next level and I'll be moving it to a more powerful and stable UNIX server. I will also be switching to what I feel is the best discussion page software out there called "Infopop UBB". This is an expensive piece of software but it's the industry standard that most of the larger web sites use. The old discussion page will remain for a while and hopefully I can archive the treads.
My goal for this year is to turn Propliners.com into one of the premier websites out there focusing on classic airliners. I will soon begin running this as a commercial website instead of the way it's been run by me in past. Take a look at all the people who take part in the discussions on this site. You can find their names as authors of magazine articles, aviation books, and even in the credits of many television shows that you see on the Discovery Wings Channel. I feel this site has enough clout to rise to the next level, attract a few advertisers, and become THE place to go to discuss classic airliners. I will be coming up with a sort of business plan for the site soon. I don't have any expectation of this being a profit making site for me but do hope it will become self supporting.
I know I asked this a while back and got a lot of responses, but I'd like to hear from all of you once again about what features you'd like to see on the new Propliners.com. The discussion page will still be one of the main attractions for the site. A few things that I want to add is a photo gallery, a classic aircraft encyclopedia, a streaming video and sound gallery, and feature articles. So, let's hear what all of you would like to see!

Greg Vaughn

NOTE: Propliners.com may be down at times while I move to the new server. The discussion page should still be available during the move so you may want to note the URL.
