What a magnificent RC model!!! Bet those scale metal props arent used in actual RC flying but for display only.
Props

Possible that this model flie with this props. Furthermore I guess that this props are in wood with a metal painted surface.
By the way, on my website are some pictures of the Connie models from e collegue of mine. He won two or three times the european championship in scaled model aircrafts with this model. Please finde the pictures by clicking the following link:
The props fitted to the model are display props and are totally unsuitable for model flying.
The props that will be needed for flying will be larger and with a broader blade. Most likely 2 bladed, but 3 bladed ones might be used by an experienced model flyer.
Most "unscale" unfortunately, but that is the way of things with model flying.
This model is fitted with 2 stroke glow plug engines.
The cylinder heads are visible on the top of the nacelles, just behind where the cowl flaps would be on the real thing.
Nice model though. I think if it was mine, I would be too scared to fly it.
Wim,
Great model.
I notice you have 2 x Irvine 6.5 CC motors powering it.
Is it kit built or scratch built?
How does it fly?

It is scratch build, and the body is made off fiber. Yes it is powerd by two Irvine engine's but i can't tell you how it flies, i first want to modify the radio setting ( new servo's and so on ) and the serial ( PH-AAA ) am i going to change in a right one.... and so on....

For God Sakes don' t fly it. Do fast taxi work with it but do not fly it. It is a much to beautiful and valuable piece of work to fly.

If its c of g is right, the wing and tail are warp free and the incidence is true, it will fly great.
The TopFlite DC3 kit flies great and 1 engine out presents no real dramas.
Yours should fly as well.
GO for it WIM and make sure some in flight pics appear on this site.
