April 16 2007 at 10:07 AM

ON March 20/2007 the C54/R5D Flying Museum of the BAHF,flew to Puerto Rico for a special event hosted by the RAMEY Historical Society. this group held their 10yr reunion at the old RAMEY AFB & a nice time was had by all. The USCG airstation at RAMEY was where we had our C54/R5D parked for the 5day event & open house for tours of the aircraft. For all the crew of the C54,it was a great pleasure to meet all the folks of the RAMEY group & their family. a lot of the school children toured the C54/R5D museum. The return trip back to FLA was about 6hrs at 180 & we cruised at 8000ft. Got some great pics on the flight over & back. The <SPIRIT> is a great Douglas flying machine! THANKS, JR
