purchased the MRS4 yesterday, got stuck into the instructions and thought I had got my head around it.
The problem is effects......
I had got a nice delay effect on my bass and was ready to record, i pressed the imput button from green to red to record and my effect had gone, just my dry amp sound, obviously when you want to record with a delay it is easier to record it as you hear it rather than do it post record...surely,
my point is how do you keep the effects switched on when the imput light goes from green to red as you record ?

friend, the mrs4 is NOT an effects box. (check out the new "G2" stomp box for bass. - digital verstility for the live player....)
And, surely, its better to add effect post recording so you can adjust latter. trust me, the delay may sound perfect when you hear it on its own but when you add another layer later it may not be so apropriate - then you'll be glad that you can tweak it a little.
