Emulators

by

If you still remember how a real Commodore 64 works, then I don't understand your problems. If you don't remember or have never used a Commodore 64, then you probably have to read the manual/info about the emulator.

I think that the most users of Commodore 64-emulators thinks that they are very user friendly.

Use CCS64 V2.0 or Vice 1.5, those emulators are the best in my opinion and many others.

Use Vice 1.5. It's very easy to use. You don't even have to read the manual.

VIRTUAL OLYMPICS !!!

by

why doesnt sum1 run a virtual olympics, using summer games 1 and 2, and have it where people from different countries qualify, maybe have a couple of months to qualify, where there is a time or distance or score u must beat and then send screenshot, and maybe top 4 from each country can represent their country at the proper thing, then when it starts use the screenshot thing...and maybe something else to stop cheaters..not sure...but run 1 event per day or something...and try and create lots of interest in it. i think that would be hella KOOL !

Powerboat USA

by Mike Semula

Powerboat USA was released by Accolade and should be in the Watersportgames, but it's not there? It's neither in the wanted list, so it's forgotten? The game was one of my favourites and I would appreciate if it could be added on this great site!

Thanks, Mike

Heat Wave

by

Powerboat USA is the european release of Heat Wave. Heat Wave is available for download here!

The only reason I can found why Accolade (or was it Electronic Arts who published this game in Europe?) changed the name of Heat Wave in Europe, is that earlier in the same year Hewson released a game compilation named Heat Wave.

I assume that you mean Brian Clough's Football Fortunes. Well, this game will be added in the next game update, and that will probably happend today.

Could you do something with the boardgame? Scan it? The manual is already online.

Problems with games

by

I have downloaded many games from Stadium 64 and there are many games i cant getworking on my vice emulator.
Do i need another emulator or is there something wrong with the games??

True Drive Emulation will solve your problems.

by

There isn't anything wrong with games, all of them should work correctly. And there isn't anything wrong with the Vice emulator either. But there's probably something wrong with your settings.

I assume that you only have problems with multipart-games. Some of those games will not work if you don't use 'True Drive Emulation'.

Sometimes you must change 'Video Standard' to 'NTSC' (Boot Camp and some more games).

WorldRecords in Decathlon and Track&Field

by

I have found 2 floppy disks of decathlon and track and field: over the envelope are written Worlds Records made by me and my brother, made on a real C=64, not on a emulator; so i cant send gif image to confirm those records, but some of them are better than the records in the section WorldRecord of this internet site; they are below:

Track&Fields:
100 meter dash: 6.20 (me)
Long Jump: 11.32 (me)
Javelin 108.87 (me)
110 meter hurdles: 9.50 (me)
hammer throw: 99.94 (me & my brother)
high jump: 2.44 (my brother)

Decathlon:
long jump: 8.89 (me)
110 meter hurdles: 12.90 (me)
discus: 67.92 (me)
1500 meter: 3:36.12(me)

i'm really pleased (& proud) of this message :)

But your 100 meter dash-record for Track & Field is poor! Try to run 5.86 or better!

Hello,

I am searching low and high for this game/program. I know it exists because I have the diskette I had copied it from someone many moons ago. But unfortunataly it did not trandfer because of disk errors and problems. It was sent around by a guy named Pyro Maniac. Someone also told me that it is a mini game to GI Joe 2. If someone could help me with this, I would appreciate it greatly.

Thanking you in advance,

Explanation

by Tyrant

If you are using an emulator called VICE (sorry
if you use some other emulators, I just use this one), then :
Select the FILE menu, then select ATTACH TAPE IMAGE (or just press ALT+T from main screen, it's the same, and quicker!).
Then locate your T64 file, click on it, and select the "Attach" button.
You will be returned to the C64 main screen :
Type LOAD and press ENTER.
Wait for a few seconds (you will see :
SEARCHING
FOUND <game name> ot FOUND FILE)
and when the C64 prompt comes back, type RUN and press ENTER. The game should start immediately.
Another way is : locate your T64 file, click on it, then double click the filename in the "Image contents" window (the filename could be the game's name or just "file" : it doesn't matter) : the game should autoload, without you having to type anything.

Emulator

by

To play Commodore 64-games on your PC, you need an emulator, that pretends to be like the real C64. YouŽll find links to several different emulators on the linkpage on this site. Personally I like Vice best, so just read the good answer above!

If you donŽt like Vice, use CCS64 V2.0 Beta.

on 486

by johnz

If you've only a 486 and MSDOS, those emulators won't work.
To get t64 files on PC64 or alec64, use the program t64top00.exe to convert them to p00 files which it can read.

More then one disk...

Easy....

by

Just attach the second disk (*.d64-image) and then, in most cases, Press Fire.
Note: Don't load the second disk!

attaching disks

by johnz

How do you go about 'attaching' disks.
I use PC64 because that's the only one that runs at any real speed on my 486dx4-100.
Is there any program that converts d64 (not t64) files to p00 files ? - then I could use alec64.

To STADIUM64

I read the message at Kim(Lemon) his site and you wrote that you wanted to close your sites for a few months. You shouldn't do this cause I think there are many people who will find this a pity. Maybe you should accept Kim's proposal to update your site or at least leave your archives online.

BTW your link to death wish III is wrong. It's linked to the DEEP.

I will never work on SHOOT! anymore. The only thing I will do is to remove it to a new server, when somebody want to continue to work with SHOOT!

SHOOT! must be removed to a new server becouse you can only access the FTP-server if you live in Sweden and have a Telenordia Internet Access.
