Re: Football director - play saved games

by James

Use a .d64 file which creates the directory for the saved data. When you save a game and when the game is autosaved at the end of a season the data is saved here. Playing the game with a ROM file does not work.

Football Director Help

by James

Re: Football Director Help

I'm addicted to this game too, been playing it for years.

Load the game from a .d64 file, there is a directory in the .d64 file for the saved game data and this is where the autosave is saved at the end of a season or whenever you choose to save the game. Once the game quits after season 1 reload the game and say yes to 'Do you wish to play an old game'.

I use Power 64 on a mac and it runs perfectly, not sure about other emulators and platforms.

New PROTOVISION game available (Team Patrol)

by biguser

If you enjoyed Moon Patrol and Decathlon, you'll love Team Patrol! This engrossing racing game can support up to four simultaneous players using Protovision's recently improved 4 Player Interface and, along with to Bomb Mania, is an excellent party game which comes highly recommended.

Team Patrol supports 1541, 1581, 1571, CMD FD-2000/4000, CMD HD and CMD Ramlink and, if you own a SuperCPU with SuperRAM, you will be able to enjoy the game as a single load! The game is being shipped on 1541 or FD disc along with a printed manual (as with any Protovision product) as well as a colour printed disc label. If you would like to know more about Team Patrol and other Protovision products, you should check the following URLs:

Omni-play basketball

by

Looking to buy Omni-play basketball with all the modules, if possible. I need at least the side-view module if anything. My original disks are dead and I have been looking for this game forever. I have the manual and stuff, but I couldn't get the rom I found on this page to work. Anyone know of a place I can purchase old commodore 64 games from?

It works fine!

I don´t know which emulator you use, but it works fine with both Vice and CCS64 V2.0b. Maybe this is one of quite many games you must run with "TRUE DRIVE EMULATION". Go to Centsible Software site to buy old c64-games: http://www.centsible.com

Re: omni-play basketball download

This omni play basketball is a different version. This is the Magic Johnson version which is not the original omni play basketball. The original one is the one whereby u cannot "control" the players and the players will run on their own. U just control their passing and shooting.

sigh...i have tried everywhere to find that version but to no avail. Regret that I did not backup the game last time before the diskettes went mouldy. Up till now, that is still the most exciting basketball game ever to be made although the graphics and sound sucks as compared to the current game by EASports's NBA Live series.

Omni-Play Basketball

by

I really really loved that game -- I used to play it for hours on end.

I think it may have also been called SportTime Basketball at some point.

They also made a hockey game that was very similar.

If you ever find it, please come back here and let us know.

Omni-Play Basketball

by Tom

It's good to know I'm not the only one still looking for this game. I had the Amiga version and I played it for hours back on the old Amiga 1000.

Before the whole Napster/copyright infringement issue came about, you could easily download the WinUAE Amiga emulator and just about any ROMs to play on it... and there were hundreds of games available. I found the old SportTime Omni-Play Basketball end-view version and it worked fine, the graphics and the sound were exactly the same, the gameplay was great, but there was one problem that made the game unplayable. When there was a timeout and you had to select your play options (hit the boards, work outside, etc.) and substitutes, the screen was shifted down to far so that you couldn't see what you were selecting. It was a HUGE tease and I just couldn't deal with it. However, you may find it okay. It's the closest thing I found to the game.

This is back in early 2000. The websites where I used to download Amiga ROM's have all been shut down since then, or at least all my bookmarks are useless. But try the Amiga WinUAE emulator. I've never played the Commodore version but I imagine it's the same, with slightly better graphics and sound.

If anybody finds a working version of this game please come back and post something here.

c64 games need to be played with an emulator.
two of the most popular c64 emulators are ccs64 and vice.
you can download them at http://www.lemon64.com
for further details on how the emulators work, check several FAQ's on the internet.

Yes!

by

I've got it to work on CCS64 or VICE (I don't remember which of them it was). I remember that I had some problems to start the game. Just a few days ago I read the manual of this game, and I have decided to remove this game from STADIUM 64. You are shooting at cars and motorcycles and that have nothing to do with sportgames.

How to start Street Hawk!

by

Here comes the "solution". I only tested this on WinVice1.4, but it will probably work on CCS64V2.0 too. If you press easy on the fire button on the Title Screen 1 you will come to Title Screen 2, the one with cyan coloured text including "Press The Fire Button". If you do that you will come back to Title Screen 1. What you have to do is, press the Commodore Key [LEFT CONTROL] (don't have this key as your fire button!), and you will come to another screen also including the text "Press The Fire Button". Do it and the game will start!

/Martin.

Street Hawk - What do you do?

by

I've just got the emulated version of Street Hawk for C64 and am amazed at how different it is to the classic Spectrum and Amstrad versions, (not including the crappy Speccy Crash Edition).
But what do you do?
I think you must be trying to get to the end of the racing section within the time but it's HARD!
I don't seem to have a brake button so I crash a lot.

Can anyone tell me if they have been beyond the 1st level 'The Escape'?
What are the other levels like? if any.

Cheers

I'm after an old c64 game. It was a western and you played the sheriff having to sort out the baddies. You saw the screen from the eyes of the sheriff and you could get your gun out to warn bandits off. Can't remember for the life of me what it was called. All I remember was a little kid character who ran out saying he had a secret he couldn't tell.

yes, I have no interest left on Shoot! and no time either to spend on it. And it's also to much work to do Shoot! in a similar way to Stadium64. How many shoot'em up games could there be....about 4000?

When I started to create Shoot! I had no idea that I should have over 1000 sportgames for Stadium64. I guessed in the beginning that there would be 500 sportgames....but that was a very bad guess.
