An interesting article in the "BOOK REPORT" section
of the latest CHRISTIANITY TODAY (p. 86) with the
above title. It's general slant is that in order to
allow Christ to speak to life in all it's aspects,
Christian Music is sometime too narrowly defined in
both text and style. One CCM veteran and author of
the book review in this article (At the Cross Roads
by Charlie Peacock) writes: "Music is both a quiet
song in our hearts and a thundering symphony that
takes our breath away . . . It is literally the sonic
backdrop to life and culture". This book gives a
history of CCM and a critique and his opinions. That
so the astute readers of this forum this makes
music Christian?
