Now, you’d think that the “so called” Kane fans would just be happy to see Kane back again, but apparently all are not, and I have to say I’m disappointed and even saddened by the lack of understanding some of these “true” fans have displayed.
Obviously you can’t please everyone, but fair go, the guy can’t win. “Take the mask off”, “leave it on”. “Talk”, “don’t talk”.
Change is an inevitable part or, well, lets face it, everything. Do these people think Kane would still be here if Glenn Jacobs had not shown some flexibility and allowed the character to evolve?
I have read complaints ranging from the most incredibly superficial and petty, such as “I preferred him WITHOUT the tan”, to the most obvious friction point, the new mask and ring attire. All right, you’re entitled to your own opinion, but have you ever heard of “constructive criticism”? If you were a real fan you wouldn’t be so eager to tear Kane apart.
These are the same “fans” who are so vehemently crying “impostor”. They claim to be so familiar with his mannerisms and appearance, yet the blatantly obvious escapes them. Fake Kane? I’m not quite sure where to begin with that, but how’s this for a start: that cute little gap in his teeth? Anyone remember seeing that somewhere before? Or “he’s to short to be the REAL Kane, he’s supposed to be 7’0’’ tall.” Now maybe this is a minor oversight with the lifts in his boots, maybe not. Fact of the matter is, if he is “6’8’’ish”, then this more proof that it is in actual fact Glenn Jacobs behind the mask rather than some impostor. Glenn is supposedly 6’8’’ (or there about) without lifts. Aside from this, I sincerely doubt it is possible to accurately judge height from your T.V screen.
Yes, he has lost some weight…I think you will find that keeping the “jiggle-able” stuff off is considered beneficial to one’s health. Clearly he has used his time off to get into better shape…I’m sure it makes his job easier.
Another possible reason for the apparent loss of physical stature; he just came away from a biceps tear (a nasty one at that). I think if these people were to read up on the subject (if that is at all possible) they would find muscles have a tendency to waste without usage. Obviously he has not been able to continue his usual weight regime with a torn biceps; therefore he has lost some of his muscle mass, particularly in the upper body. He has probably only recently resumed his training schedule and time will of course be necessary for him to work back up to his original build…and that is if he so chooses to.
Some people also seem to have been severely offended by the “Kane-Aroonie”. All I can say about that is lighten up a bit! If you can’t figure out that it was simply a joke then I think you have some issues in addition to your lack a capacity for reasoning; you know, the thing along with forethought that is supposed to separate you from the rest of the animal kingdom? Why shouldn’t Kane have some fun and enjoy his moment in the spotlight?
Frankly, I find these gripes selfish. Glenn Jacobs has busted his guts to entertain these people and this is the tanks he receives, practical mutiny by those who claim to be fans. The thought that the outfit that goes with the territory might be uncomfortable would likely not have even occurred to them. When you contemplate the original design of the mask and outfit you can see how it may have been impractical from a wrestling stance. Glenn has said himself that the old mask restricted his breathing and to look at the original costume you would assume it was fairly hot to wrestle in. As for Kane talking more, well what did you expect? He wouldn’t stand much chance of success if he remained relatively mute. Glenn Jacobs would be a cretin not to take hold of an opportunity and from my observations he is anything but.
Perhaps it is sad to see the disappearance of some of the old traits, but it doesn’t mean the character has to be diminished by these changes.
In short, the idiocies of some of these people make me wonder if there aren’t enough tornadoes, that or their gene pools are in need of a good dose of chlorine.
In ending my…ahem, “little” tirade I just wanted to thank all the people who come to Kane Fanatics and especially Burnt Offerings. This is the only message board that I will post on because I know my message will be received with intelligence rather than ignorance. I am glad to be in the company of other REAL fans and I am also sure Glenn Jacobs is truly appreciative of his genuine supporters. So to ALL thankyou, you are what makes this place infinitely better than the rest, especially Kandy, who is responsible for this wonderful dedication to “The Masked One” You are right, it does take “balls” for Glenn to do what he does!
Ok, I’m done, sorry for the length, I hope you all looked away from your screens periodically. I think that is the longest message I have ever posted.

Yes I do feel much better. I hate the ignorant folk with a passion so I wasn't in much of a mood to let them go ripping into Kane/Glenn when he has worked so hard.
By the way, maybe you can clear this up for me, which message board are we not supposed to use? Is it this one or the other one with the numbered messages?

The board we are posting on NOW (found at top right of main page) is the CORRECT board to use.
The old "Burnt Offerings" on top left of main page...will take you to the old, archived BO or HERE (or should I say it is supposed to!) I will check into this as soon as I post. I might have forgotten to fix that link and make the new board link come HERE.
If you see the orange board with numbers...don't use it. I don't have the controls to that board and cannot access it.
The OLD Burnt Offerings is fixed so no one can post on it anymore, but everyone is free to look and read.

Most all of the same thoughts have been buzzing around my head too, and you put it all so well.
Needless to say (as you and Gypsy have also) there is no sense in being a "fair-weather" friend. Either you like what you see and accept it (and absolutely LOVE it, as with Kane) or keep your traps SHUT!!

Bless your heart for you sweet compliments about Kane Fanatics!! I truly appreciate them!! Really!! I admit, I fall short of doing my best, but I try, and with Gypsy by my side, we try to offer a fun place, with a light hearted atmosphere where the people are REAL! I think we have a good group here, to which I am equally thankful, who deserve a fun place on the web where they don't have to worry about being "shredded" every time they post a message. I think it's horrible that some sites simply tear each other apart for voicing their opinions.
And secondly, I applaud your "rant"!! I think you speak on behalf of MOST all the Fanatics dwellers here who feel the same way. Opinions vary, and all should be respected, but there are some out there who are tearing Glenn apart...and it's uncalled for. This man has busted his ass for 5 years to bring us this character of Kane! He has endured matches where he could hardly breathe in that restricting leather mask, he has suffered several injuries (the broken hand, the infected elbow, the bulging disc in his back, and the biceps tear..among others) all for US. He has fought in those damn "inferno matches" (against his better judgment or wishes) where the heat alone nearly suffocated him (not to mention the mask on top of that) and he has sacrificed his personal life all for us...and THIS is how the fans repay him? They welcome him back, then pick him apart.
I think the fans should be thankful he came back in the first place. He didn't have to. He didn't have to put it all on the line anymore..but he chose to. He loves to entertain us. And we love to see him entertain...and if he wants to cut up once in a while, then by all means, I think he should go for it. Personally, I feel that it enhances his character of Kane, for "Kane" did not have the luxury of comedy or laughter growing up in Paul Bearer's basement...training to be a monster hellbent to destroy his brother. (ahh......has anyone else been around long enough to remember that???)
Okay..Now I'm starting to rant! ROFL
You all get the picture. Kane Fanatics is just that....Fanatics (or "Fans") of Kane. We love him, as is, forever. No questions. No conditions.

Make yourself at "home"!
I figured I couldn't be the only one with this point of view, and I am one fan who has been around long enough to remember the vengeful monster and I plan to be around to the very end (which is hopefully a long way away).
I have been trying to make a photographic history timeline of all of Kane's outfits. Now I'm no historian, I can't keep up with any kind of facts. Going of sheer memory I came up with 10 distinct outfits that Kane has worn. If anybody as anything different, please help me out here.I have pictures alsready that someone can colloaborate with me if they want.I just don't want to mess it up. Thanks.

I will chat with you on IM about it. Nice idea!! I had wanted, at one time, to do a gallery of his different outfits, but you go for it! You are so talented! I can't wait to see what you come up with!! I'm sure you have most all his outfits saved, but if I can assist, just let me know.
Oh..and I come up with ten, too (well..the tank top styled one had several different versions, as did the very first one which had different shaped/spaced studs on the arm opening and belt, but there was one that had alot more mesh, so I too count that as a different distinct style)...however, IF you remember....once Kane wrestled in Taker's outfit! Does that count?? LOL I know..he was just in cahoots with his brother.
My all-time favorite was the solid black, tank styled one he wore once! It had black mesh flames................****SIGH****
Off to dig thru my tapes now. I have got to see it now that I brought it up. LOL

Well , what can I say ? Seeing Kane back in action was most definitley absolute bliss for all of his Kaneanites .
I will admit openly , I was getting mighty ticked that we were toyed with , and the ongoing rumours re his return were nothing but confusing ...however , he IS back , and thats all that matters !!!!
Of course , there will always be those that like to poop a party . I cannot believe that there is question as to the true ' identity ' of Kane . He looks tanned , VERY fit and healthy , in a brand new out fit and mask - of course he is going to look ' different ' !!
This Kaneanite wishes our Big Red Beast good health and a very warm welcome back !!!

The following news is derived from 1Wrestling.com:
There has been a lot of talk about the shocking difference in appearance Kane had last night as opposed to his previous stint in WWE. Many were under the impression that it wasn't the real Kane, Glenn Jacobs, but a fake Kane.
People tend to draw that conclusion from the difference in size. Many felt, and rightfully so, Kane looked smaller last night than he had in his previous WWE run. With an injury like a bicep tear, you can only hit the gym, especially when that's where the original bicep tear took place.
Kane also had a brand new look last night, which exposed more of his face than his old masks would, leading a lot to believe that it might not even be the real Kane. That was Glenn Jacobs, the legitimate Kane, despite the difference in appearance.
It just goes to show that NOBODY knows him like his Kane-anites do....right??? ((we all KNEW it was our Glenn))
Maybe THEY are the ones fondly called ' marks ' - the so called wrestling fans that know it all , but really know NOTHING !!!!!!

OK. One last post before I am off to bed. Kind of early, but hey...I'm getting up there in age. Can't hang like I used to. But anyways...someone jumps ship from Raw to Smackdown. All this time we have been worrying about Kane and the WWE pulled the rug from under us. The Undertaker is now not only exclusive to Smackdown, but he is lso the No. 1 Contender for the Undisputed title. Maybe this is a plot to get the belt back on Raw...hmmm?

Well, I have been waiting for this moment for a while now. It was well worth the wait as our Big Red "Freak'N" Machine didn't let us down. Before I continue, Kandy check your email. Hopefully you can do something with what I sent you. Now we can get to the juicy stuff. First there is Kane's Return. I apologize for the quality. My VCR is on its last days. Ok here we go. This first one is a whopper!
Next is the oh-so-cute Kane-A-Roonie. I know this moment right here will cause a lot of controversy between the people who want Kane to remain the silent monster, and the people happy to see him break out of his shell.
Eboni! wow, Wow, WOW!! You don't just throw these things together, you have a great talent - I love the music background, and the way you have choreographed the vid to the music - WOW again!

Kane Angel wears red robings w/ a black toga (cloak), and yes he wears his mask. ..New mask. Like the Undertaker Angel, he also comes with a doll stand complete w/ 8 hour aromatherapy candle and holder, and incense bundle.

Yes, i did make an offer to Kandy to make caps, but, it was sorta an "If-we-couldn't-get-them-anywhere-else" deal.. I dont want to sound selfish, lazy, or prick-ish.. But, I was hoping to be a last resort... due to the fact that my capture card is in my old pc, which is currently in a box, because it's for sale..
My plan was to hook it up, and take some caps & vids, but only if it was really nesecary.

And I noticed he looked really BUFF! And...he had a tan...and he was all pumped up..and mostly, Glenn looked CONFIDENT! Something he had not appeared to look for quite some time! It is amazing what a little backing from your employer will do for ya! It's about damn time the WWE listened to the fans, and give this man the credit he deserves!

Boy, I thought I got a ribbin' Sunday when he didn't return - I was talking to my mom-in-law and hubby - mistream sentence I needed to stop and SCREAM
My lord he looked so fit and trim and sexy in that new outfit (hubba hubba), and the MASK - all I can say is wow, Wow and WOW!!! I got goosebumps all over the place, and Kevin was laughing his butt off!!!
Well all I have to say is welcome back KANE/Glenn - we are all so happy to see you finally back where you belong!!!!

Anyhoo.....Kane is our Angel......who saves us from boredom on WWE television (him and Taker, both) and he provides us with an escape from life's harsh realities. This new statue/doll is an excellent way to show what he means to us!
Hopefully fans will find this unique customized doll to their liking. I know I was skeptical at first, but once I laid eyes on it, it was amazing!!!!

I created this new board so we could retire the old one. I didn't know how much longer Net54 would let me keep all those old pages on there. Plus, I've had more than one person say that those pages slows down the page loading on their machines....so...hopefully, this new board will help alleviate that problem.
This new board is actually the same, on your end. On our end, Gypsy and I both control it. She is truly board monitor, so for any imps out there who hope to give us a hard time, please think twice as Gypsy is not one to tangle with.
Also, you will find alot of new features showing up here at Kane Fanatics over the next few weeks, so please keep checking back. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to email them to me. My email address is at the top of this post, as well as the top of the board (a link there).
So...let's get back to posting! If you had the board saved on your favorites, you may want to simply save the main page, as there is a nice button link on the right side for this new board (for now). Also, going through the main page helps me monitor and track our busier times of the day, week, month and year, so I can further accommodate you all.
