I am considering buying this screen. One of the nice features is the separate media receiver box which accepts all the inputs which minimizes the cables that need to go to the screen itself. But the output to the screen seems to be only 768p. If a program comes in 1080i what happens when it is converted to 768p? Thanks.

DVI supports the full 1080i (and it looks great). We have had this TV for 3 months and are very happy. For a good deal and good service, try wild west electronics ($7700 delivered) on yahoo shopping. Call to get their best price, the online price will be list...

Just be prepared for the picture for non-HD and non-DVD 480p to be less than stunning. This is the case with all HD tv's, but have someone in the show room put a non-HD station on so you know what you are in store for...

Thanks for your comments. How does it do with cable and non-HDTV satellite signals?
Do you think the media receiver concept will be used by other companies? It seems like such a great solution for managing the various inputs.

The best signal to this unit will be 720P - set your STB accordingly.

We've had our 5030HD for about 3 months and love it. I think the separate box is the way to go, since we now only have 3 cable going to the unit (power plus two connectors from the receiver box). Very easy to run these cables in the wall and have the unit hang without any wires showing. And you still have easy access to add new connections to the receiver. Plus, the picture and picture is great for wathching two football games at once.
Installed it myself with no problems, very easy job. Just label all your cables to avoid confusion.
