I wonder what this means for Sony's GLV research? This I think is
still a far superior way to create HDTV images, but is probably a few
years away from commercialization.

SXRD is a very interesting new device that is most like LCOS and
DILA. Hitachi & JVC are shipping projectors in this resolution class
shortly in the $7500 range.

I'll be very interested in seeing when Sony ships any real product
and at what price. My guess is November @ $10k, but I hope its June @
$5k! If so, I may have to replace my 2.25-year old Sony 10HT
projector!
