Full Power Station Causing OTA Reception Problem

I have been using a Sony Sat HD 100 Receiver OTA for the last year and a half with no problems. I live within 10 miles of all of the transmitters and use a 4 Bay UHF antenna & 50 ft of RG-6 cable. Recently the Local ABC (Channel 7,Digital 41)outlet went full power digitally and ever since then 7.1 will be stable for a minute or so, break up and then switch to Channel 7.2. It will hold 7.2 for several seconds and then switch back to 7.1. It does not do this on any of the other 6 digital stations. I have rescanned the stations and inserted a 20 db antennuator (adjustable) with no significant change. I have also rotated the antenna to reduce signal strength with no affect on channel 7.1/7.2. Any suggestions would be appreciated? Thank you.

It seems to me as if it is the stations fault due to a technical glitch on their part. I'd call the station and see what they have to say about it. Most of my OTA stations are at full power and I've never seen the problem.

It seems like the station is having PSIP problems, either global, or with your particular STB type. The symptoms sound as if the STB is trying to rectify the channel and is going back and forth because the data it gets is corrupted. Like Hugh said, call the station and talk to the engineer and I'll bet you'll get it rectified.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did call the Engineer originally when I first noticed the problem. He told me then that they had just gone to full power and suggested rescanning & reducing signal strength which I did (to no avail). I will call him back and discus it with him. Thanks again

Definitely call the guy - it is their problem!

Station PSIP Problem

I called the station right after Richards suggestion and they basically said I must be having the problem and they were ok. All of a sudden in mid October everything started working fine - no breakups and 7.1, 7.2 & 7.3 all come in immediately as selected. I emailed the station and thanked them for correcting their problem of which I informed them of back in May. I have yet to receive an answer.
