I have worked 21 years without rest on behalf of the public in order that you at least had a fighting chance at having HDTV. I was the only one who could and did raise it to the level of a national cultural cause rather than just a business deal or political strategy/scheme or the manipulatation of spectrum. I have made it cleaer to the industry that I am on the side of the consumer, so I have no home there and I am at that age where one nearly has no home no matter who you serve. I have worked 16 hours a day 7 days a week since November of 1998 launch on HDTV Magazine to continue by way of a daily reminder to the public and the industry that HDTV IS coming. I was the first HDTV web site, the first HDTV e-mail list, the first HDTV publication ever in paper as well as on the web and never sponsored because I was a driving force against all that existed in favor of a new existance. YOu have no idea what forces you face until you are in the workd of building a new infrastructure in order to obsolete the old one that is still paying all of the bills, at least for signal providers. For all of this effortI have applied 100% of my resources and borrowed deeply from my future. Of course, you didn't ask for me to do any of this so there is no moral obligation of any kind. I should have had better sense than to have done it in the first place, but I did. You, after all, did not have access to HDTV 21 years ago and I did. I saw something good and great and wanted it for everyone. I used to have enough money to retire 20 years ago. But that is no longer the case. I gave it all to this cause. Any search of any search engine using my name will act as testifier of what I say, and that is only 1/1000th of what was done to keep HDTV from dying all along the way. You can call me studip, which I certainly feel today, or anything else that adequatly redicules anyone who has jeapordized so much for so litte. I say for so little because I see that it will always be the next little thing for me to do--the next tiny little hoop I am to jump through before anyone will say from their lounge chair, here nice dog, you have done the trick and now here is a little bare bone. No, to cite Pay Pal as the reason no one honors our work is just another form of inslult. This forum will close, as must this chapter on HDTV. I lost my right hand man today due to payroll, or should I say lack of it. I have not drawn a dime in years from my HDTV work. With his departure that means I either have to find another 50 hours in week to give to this cause or...you know what, that ain't gonna happen.

Dale-
We don't know each other, so I am not one to judge. However, this has obviously been an issue for you for some time now. Years from the looks of things. Why did it take so long for you to react? Why the threat of closing shop with just one months notice??? Hindsight is always 20/20 but if things were that hard up...
Respectfully-
Scott
