heard many rumors, finally got to speak to an engineer. very optimistic that they'll be up noverber 1st. i'll start looking for a signal today and tomorrow just to see if ther're throwing out test patterns. dying to see monday night football. ota is so much better than Directv's sunday night football. i dont even care if it is in 720. its something. btw, it will be comming from the Conde Nast building. the top of the antenna is the same hight as the bottom of the empire state building's antenna. if you can recieve telefutura's digital signal, you'll most likely be able to pick up abc's. they'll both be transmitting from the came location. now lets start sending hate mail to nbc for dragging ass on thier plans. pathetic.

Very misleading title. I hope the rumors are true. I have been trying to lock in their signal over the last couple of days. I will keep trying over the weekend. Looking forward to comparing 1080i OTA vs 720p OTA. Once NBC is back online, it may be time to stop paying Directv for their HD package. ESPN's programming is weak, Discovery and HDNet are ok but not worth 10.99 a month.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves...it's not back yet, but there is hope that it should be back over the weekend. Also it's going to be coming from the Conde Nast bldg, so the antennae won't be as high as the ESB. Time will have to tell how far the signal will reach. We're close....just not there just yet.

wow! that was fast! sathd100 is pinned at 100%! i really believe that abc wanted to be up months ago, but cbs was giving them, as well as nbc, a hard time. making the project harder than it was, with the combiner and all. abc probably just said, "screw this". watching "threrat matrix" for the first time tonight. cant wait for MNF!!!

ok, dan. heres the deal, as i heard. they are at half power right now. 222kw. by dec 1st, they'll be at 450. only people having a problem are the ones in Brooklyn that are in the shadow of the ESB. they will be off early mornings and be back on early afternoons for a couple of weeks. i have a feeling it will last a couple of days instead of weeks. i cant imagime that there will be many kinks to work out. looks like they are right on. i dont know about you, but the picture looks better than cbs's non prime time stuff. prime time material looks identical. a little less film like, though. still spectcular. think i'll watch 'wheel of fortune' tonight. have'nt seen that in a decade. always in 3/2, but havent seen the news broadcasts yet. happy viewing!

I have heard that from someone else, about the PQ between CBS and ABC in 4:3 mode. I think they look the same. Only had a few hours to compare. I thought Threat Matrix looked awesome. I can't wait to see MNF.
