I have been looking forward to receiving the 2 new HD cahnnels which Comcast advertised as starting around Oct 1 this year. It is a month later and I still can not receive these channels. I live in the Philadelphia area and get all of Comcast's HD channels fine.. but not the INHD channels. They show up in my on-screen program guide including what is scheduled. But when you tune to the station there is no audio or video. I have had Comcast techs out to my home and they can not figure out why the programming is not there. They think it could be a system "node" problem ?
Are folks in the Philly area getting these channels? If so, is there any one else who is having a similar problem ?

I had the third Comcast technician out yesterday and he actually seemed to know what he was doing. He brought a signal strength meter with him and checked signal at the TV finding there was an 18 db loss relative to where the signal enters the house. There were a couple of splitters in the total path...one to distribute signal to a different room and at the set one which sent one signal to the HD box and the other with raw cable directly the TV (this allows PIP and also the ability to watch one show while recording a different one). I believe splitters create a loss of about 2-3 db each. He ran a new cable of about 30 ft length and like magic the missing channels showed up. Why all the other channels worked fine is still a mystery to me. Perhaps the new INHD channels are at the highest end of the frequency spectrum and they were subject to more cable loss ?? The original cable had been installed about 10 years ago...long before HD was being shown. It was running under a rug and probably was a more lossy version of coax.
Many thanks to those who responded to the question. I printed them out and showed results to the tech. The Comcast tech help center you reach by phone is really out of touch with anything dealing with HD issues. One person I got tried to tell me that those channels were In Demand pay-for-view channels ! And while I was on hold waiting for her, the background advertising was telling all about the INHD channels which come free with the Digital Tier of service.
