I finally got to see Monday Night Footbal in HD here in New York...ABC has been back up for a few days now...

I have to admit it looked pretty good in 720p...very colorful and smooth and of course MNF's excellent coverage and camera work

on the other hand...CBS's 1080i picture is far more detailed .....a little rough around the edges,but the extra sharpness and picture detail make you feel like you are at the game, not just watching it at home

still, all in all, it is like comparing apples and oranges...and it is just great to have ABC HD back on the air .....all we need now is for NBC to get on line......and for FOX to cut the crap and give us HD..not the SD they have been sending for well over a year now

I have made similar comments about ESPN HD and their football coverage. Maybe they should have performed some real life tests between 1080i and 720p instead of theorizing. Everything I have seen looks better in 1080i.
