I am still waiting for installation. This is the second time they have promised an installation date and no one shows up. So if anyone has the service, can you post what you think about it. I am ready to give up! So far VOOM blows!

VOOM finally arrived in my home Nov 5. The jury is still out. It looks pretty good. Box is really quirky. I still get better off air local stations (my own rooftop aerial), than they have provided. But they promise to come back tmo and tweak it some more. Does anyone else have this service yet? If so what do you think?

Do you get your money back if they fail? They seem to be having problems with customer service and poor advertising. Why did you sign up with them anyway?

Yes they have 30 day money back deal. I went with this service after having Cox's lousy service and only 5 channels of HD. I get more HD's off an aerial.
Update-The HD portion is great! Off air-missing a lot of channels. It's now day two and I keep getting calls from the installation company's managment in Buffalo, NY. They said there are concerns with the diplexer's being used for the offf air side of the service. They are going to run a direct feed for the off air portion and that should correct the problem. I am still looking for anyone with this service. I need to have someone to rant and rave to! or just tell me you are interested and I will continue to document my trials and tribs.

Diplexors (sp) was the term they used. They put in an aerial for the off air and they use a diplexer to send both (sat. & local) signals into the house on one coax. They then use a splitter in the house to split the signal into the box. However, this scenario isn't working. So they where to come out today and run a second coax. AND THEY STOOD ME UP! They are now returning on Monday.
As for channels I like. So far it would be a close call between RAVE the "MTV" channel and Worldsports. I just wish there was something on other than Futbol.
I keep having a glitch with the remote when accessing some content. But it looks more like a software bug. It still works, just have too access the info in a different way. Yesteday I was close to calling the whole thing off, today I like it. Let's see what happens Monday.
