Does anyone here have a Bravo D1, and can you tell me what you think of it?

I think Richard sells the Bravo D1. I'm sure he can tell you all about it...

You don't get perfection for $199. Has intermittent vertical deinterlacing errors.

You must use DVI. Use the custom setting for 540P.

You get a lot of bang for your buck with this product if DVD is your only concern.

Thanks Richard. I have a Sammy DLP. Shouldn't it be set to 720P? Also I have a Pioneer 3250 cable box with a DVI connector, but it is unavailable. Is the Bravo's output so much better, that it is a "got to have", or might I be better off waiting for the STB to be activated?

Yes. That is the native scan rate for that product.

Um that doesn't have anything to do with the Bravo or DVD.

With your display? Yes!

Shame you don't have the info.

It did receive a favorable review in Widescreen Review.

For $199 it ain't perfect. There are only 2 players available. Take your choice. Depending on your display it can really clean up your images dramatically!

As for PC, that is another avenue.

Well I read as much as I could find on the 2 players, and ordered the Bravo. The Samsung sounded like it had some problems to work out. At $200 it will be the cheapest thing in my setup, and sounds like it will be the better pick until dvi output players become common place.

Get on the Bravo website and follow the directions for creating a custom scan rate. 540P is preferred for CRT based displays.
