Is it just me but it seems 90% of all the HDTV Receiver posts on here are about Sammy products? Is Sony that good. I am so glad I bought the Sony as it has performed flawlessly. Everything works. Kudos to LG, for both the Zenith and Sony sets.

Sammy stuff is talked about repeatedly on this site...read the posts. Sony has few problems by comparison. Your set has had many issues. My post was a question. The Sammy DLP has a super picture few would argue.

We get the picture that you are happy with your Sony gear. That's great and we are all glad you are happy with your purchase. But why do you feel it is necessary to critique other folks choices. I don't own any Samsung HD gear, but they are very respected in the HD arena and have done more to push the format than most other electronics companies (including Sony). I for one am thankful for all they have done to help HD grow.

I have always been a Sony guy. Everything I own is pretty much Sony. I have because of this forum purchased my first Sammy. This forum helped me to think outside the box.

I have a Samsung STB and I am completely satisfied with the reception and the picture quality. Plus, It was an "open box" buy for -$100 from the street price and even though it was a floor sample, it's perfect. I also have a Sony 27" from 1993 and a Sony VCR from 1998.
However, the only piece of home theater equipment I've EVER returned, was a Sony DVD player. It just plain did NOT work, and rather than getting another one, I exchanged it for full credit against a Pioneer DVD player.
