I have only one DVI input on my TV and am using it for the Samsung 931 Dvd unit.Love it!;However I also want to use DVI for HD when I install that soon.Is there some type of splitter or unit I can attach to my TV (Mitsu 65" Silver new)that will allow the connection of 2 DVI inputs?..Thanks

Yup. But it's about $245.00 for a basic one. Try http://www2.dvigear.com for more options.

There may be a cheaper one out there in the last few weeks, but they are not designed for HDTV. I have heard of some cheaper DVI switchers that "work" from our techno-brotherhood in the computer industry, but I've also heard that they degrade the picture.

Most people get an extension cable, attach it to the back of the TV, then run it along the side to where they can reach it. Then, run the DVI cables from the DVD and the STB to the same spot and just plug in whichever one you want to watch.

Grumpy,

Is that DVI switch HDCP and HDMI compatible?

Richard,

The "2 input / 1 output" model is HDCP, unfortunately, the "4/1" is NOT compliant, but the website states it clearly.

Still, it's a LOT o' cash...

Do you have a favorite DVI cable? Should I blow the money for Monster Cable, or are there less expensive brands with the same or very close to same quality?

I bought a 10 ft Belkin brand DVI from CompUSA for around $65.I know Monster is much more.Have also seen cables for much less than I paid.Mine works very well with the Samsung 931 DVD but I really don't have anything to compare it with (i.e using Monster)

I bought my DVI cable from Pacific Cable as well and would buy from them again.
