Yes, entry level TV...but it was exactly what I wanted at exactly the right price. I have read some reviews and it appears that it will need to be calibrated. What can I expect to pay? Is there help for the self help type on calibration?
They are delivering it in about 6 hours from now....I plan to use the same cables that I am using now. Video cables, S-Video from Sat box to TV....later I will upgrade. Any suggestions?
also, I think I may install an antenna for OTA....I guess that means I will need to purchase a tuner right? Any suggestions?
I am quite excited...but disappointed that the damn Wall Unit we want will take 3 weeks to get here! Ouch! That means, TV on ground against wall by itself probably through XMas....any suggestions on where to put boxes? Just on end table next to TV? Thanks in advance guys.

Expect to pay $225 up to $800+ for calibration (the base ISF calibration may be $275 now, I'm not sure) depending upon the extent of what you want done. There are several DVD's out there to help you set the basics and get a good picture (Digital Video Essentials, Avia Guide to Home Theater, and Sound & Vision Home Theater Tune-Up). These don't take the place of an ISF calibration however. But make sure you get a calibrationist who comes with references (asking Richard is a good place to start) or you could be unhappy with the outcome. Assuming you have basic (cheap) video cables to begin with, buying the best you can afford will improve your picture quality. Enjoy the set - congratulations!

While I'm certainly no expert here, you mention an S-Video connection ... my understanding is that for HDTV you will require Component video cables ... generally the better the quality, the better the picture.
