I was looking online for something to use to paint a wall at work, for use as an occasional projector screen. This stuff looked pretty neat and I wondered if anybody here had actually used it...

http://www.goosystems.com

It is supposedly recommended at that "other" forum. It sounds like it would cost me about $250 and a days effort to paint a 10 foot "screen".

Any comments?

It will "work" but I fail to see how it could possibly perform accurately.

As far as accuracy... they offer 3 different shades: CRT white / grey / light grey, and they make a suggestion based on info you supply regarding type of projector, room, material, video vs. film, and so on. How can that degrade the accuracy of the image? I understand that the surface needs to be flat and smooth, but the base coat provides the surface and the top coat (which is a different material) provides the reflective coating. I obviously don't own a projector (yet), so please tell me now...

...What things should you look for in a projector screen?

There are so many issues in selecting an accurate screen for an application. Not all screens are equals and there are issues with hot spotting, color contamination and light dispersion. They also come in different gain values. I would have to recommend getting with an ISF calibrator/dealer to select one.
