It amazes me that in this press release it says, "to major markets."

I called the numbers listed in the press release and inquired about my market. Apparently NYC is not one of the major markets. They told me, that there is not enough bandwidth to bring in these additional HD channels mentioned in the press release, and that each TWC market negotiates separately to bring in new programming.
How deranged is TWC in NY? They are too consumed with wasting their bandwidth on hundreds of duplicated channels, in their DTV programming package, with non English speaking broadcasts, to placate their diverse constituency.
Terrific, so HD can take a back seat to Johnny Quest translated in Spanish on the Latin Cartoon Channel.
