I should receive my Bravo D1 tomorrow. My receiver only has 1 coax input set to the dvd output. I have a Pioneer 3510 cable box. The 3510 only has coax out for digital sound. I know I can switch around so dvd is tv/sat and the 3510 is dvd, but it will confuse the heck out of the wife. My question is can I plug one into coax, and the other into the optical, on the dvd inputs, as long as one is turned off while watching the other?

You are going to have to get out your receiver manual and read it. My Sony receiver allows what you want to do. In fact I have three devices connected to its DVD input: coaxial, optical, and analog.
