Finally CBS HD has come to Comcast in Baltimore (channel 182) and it's not a 'locally owned' affiliate which had seemed to be the only group of CBS stations cutting deals with Comcast....my guess is that so many customers are leaving for 'the dish' that Comcast had to make a deal with CBS, or do you think CBS caved in?
Has CBS appeared recently in any other city on Comcast?

This message is from Comcast in Philly....I received it this morning.
CBS HD will be available to Comcast's HD customers in the New York and
Philadelphia television markets by the end of December. CBS HD will be
available on channel 182.
Customers in the Philadelphia television market will get KYW.
Customers in the New York television market will get WCBS.
Customers in the Harrisburg-Lancaster-Lebanon-York television market already
have (and will continue to have) CBS HD from WHP.
Overall I have nothing but praise for Comcast here in Indy. In the last 30 days they have added HBO, Showtime, TMC, Starz and Cinemax ON DEMAND. All at no charge. We also just had Fox added to our Hi Def lineup. Which I know isn't really Hi Def. But thats not Comcast fault. Now if I could just get ABC and a DVR in 2004!
173 ESPN HD
174 INHD
175 INHD 2
178 SHOWTIME HD
179 HBO HD
181 NBC HD
182 CBS HD
183 FOX HD?
191 PBS HD

Just checked and channel 182 is now operating in southeast Pennsylvania. It's a nice gift from Viacom and Comcast huh? Sometimes it takes extra effort but sooner or later the job gets done.
On another note it'll be interesting to see what News Corp's buyout of DirecTV has on satellite users. Rupert Murdoch, the CEO, is very aggressive and I see him trying to move DirecTV to the forefront of HD programming.
2004 will be a very exciting year for all of us HD watchers.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
