The local WB station broadcast the Tribune HD coverage. This was only done on the DTV station naturally. The analog station did not broadcast the parade at all.
It was great to see the parade in HD and NO COMMERCIALS and stupid promos for network shows!

Just nit to pick, it is the Tounament of Roses Parade. The parade was around a decade before there was a football game or even a Rose Bowl.

The WB's/Tribune high definition broadcast is originated by local station KTLA. They have been providing parade coverage continously since the early 50's. This station has been a technology pioneer from the very begining, mostly the result of the work of the late Klaus Landsberg. The station went on the air in about 1946.
