I am confused...this unit says that it has a IEEE-1394 input for receiving HD signals from a set top box...My question is, how do you use this input when none of the set top boxs have an output for IEEE-1394?

The only way I can see to use this JVC HD recorder would be to have a tv which has IEEE-1394 output, that way you could run the HD receiver via dvi to the tv's dvi input and then go out through the IEEE-1394 out of the tv to the Video recorders IEEE-1394 input.
