I read the other day that Canon is now working with Toshiba to produce a SED (Surface-Conduction Electron-Emitter Display) flat screen TV.

That is great news! LCoS wasn't cutting it anyway and their displays were beat up on pretty good over very poor blacks.

DLP is a very exciting technology that I continue to warm up to. It also seems they may have the "rainbow" effect resolved as well and with 1920X1080 chips on the way later this year it is very exciting indeed!

I agree. This is great news for DLP. Along with the 1080p DLP, the 7" deep DLP sounds great too. Now that is a direct competitor to plasma and LCD.

This is promising!...That rainbow effect is what turned me off to them...(also the lack of black)...This site has some interesting news on imrovements...as well as Texas instuments squeezing it's way into the market.
