RCN Cable service here in New York City is offering an HDTV DVR made by Motorola Model DCT6208. Has anyone had any experience with this unit?

Got it and love it

I live in the Louisville, KY market and i got my Moto 6208 about 2 weeks ago thru Insight Cable. I love the box so far. has an 80GB hard drive, 40 hours of standard tv, 10 hours of high def recording. TV guide handles the guide and program info. TV guide is a little lacking in their program descriptions, but not bad. Has DVI connections, Firewire, USB, built in cable modem, coax and optical audio out. I used to use a Moto 6200 for my high def and another box for standard. but now the 6208 can do it all in the same box. Non-digital channels are a little grainy at times and motion blurs occur during network slow downs, hopefully this will be worked out. Digital channels are excellent clarity and the HD channels are also great. i recorded the colts-chiefs game in HD last sunday and watched the replay and it is astounding to see HD in fast forward and pause modes. the box and HD service is a combined 12.95 a month, a little steep for the 10 HD channels we have but im not complaining. Good luck with yours

The box has an 80GB hard drive built into it. Can save 10 hours of HD material or 60 hours of standard def. im sure the hard drive size will only increase over time. prices for these drives are not a big deal.
