Last night they were showing Streets of New York. It said just before the movie start "in HDTV where available" Then they showed the movie in 4:3

And how are you receiving Starz HD? Are you getting it from a cable company? You have to be able to receive the HD channel to get the HD picture.

Yes I was watching StarzHD Thats kinda the point why I asked the question what is up with StarzHD.

I've had Starz HD since the 13th, and so far I have not come across one widescreen movie (while randomly going through the channels). If you check Dale's guide for today, you'll see one movie listed as real HD. Starz is the ESPN-HD of premium movie channels!

The problem is probably with your cable company or dish service, whichever may be the case. I have
voom, and always get the 1080i, 16 x 9 format.

I'm getting a lot of the Starz!HD movies in 4:3 also. Called Comcast the first week it was available and went round-and-round with the idiot who answered. He finally admitted they were working on it. It's been a few weeks now...

What is Starz HD??? Give me HBO and Showtime anyday.
