Sometimes at night you'll see 4 channels, 6-1, 6-2, 6-3, and 6-4. Of course it looks like garbage

Because ABC is sending their HD signal in 720P... THey don't need as much bandwidth as those 1080i outlets... and they are planning to use 2 other SD signals for local news... or something...

NBC is talking about 4 channels during daytime (SD)... and then two at night... HD and SD...

If they can get more compression... believe me... each channel will be offering more feeds...

Digital OTA will compete with cable!!! (already happening in Salt Lake city... where 20 OTA cable feeds... are being fed on the extra station bandwidth!!!)

WOW!!!!

OTA will only compete with cable for people able to receive an ATSC signal and willing to put up an antenna. Everyone else will keep cable. No different than NTSC vs regular cable.

And what about HDNet? HBOHD? ESPNHD? etc. etc.

How you gonna get those OTA??
