Is it just me or are these sets just fading away these days? They look old...are constantly mentioned with problems, and I beleive being buried by the other transplants like Sony, Sammy, Panny and Hitachi! Waht do they do better than anyone else these days? Their old 35" CRT's were "state of the art" back in the early 90's.

They constantly win best buy and editor's pick in The Perfect Vision magazine. I think the other brands have caught up with them, plus they are still mostly CRT while the others are hawking digital sets. I'm perfectly happy with my diamond 55" as are a lot of others that I know.

I was a little surprised at this question of Mitsubishi quality.... We have had a WS55111 for almost a year and one half.... and are constantly looking for a flat screen model for one of the other rooms. I agree with the previous respondent. MITS keeps winning awards ... and I have seen nothing I consider any better.... or is worth spending any thing for.

... Recently, I have checked out the Mitsubishi new Lycos 84" 1080p (Everything up converted).... and their new 65 9 inch CRTs.... for this year.... and darn.. I STILL HAVE THE BEST SET FOR WHAT IS OTA, Satellite, D-VHS or cable today!!!!...

(Their is no transmittable 1080p...YET..
or can you get all the information possible (Limited transmitting bandwidth) to take advantage of what the 9 inchers can display!!!)

I'd be interested to know what is making you a little sour!!

No, the Perfect Vision is published by the same folks who print the Absolute Sound, one of the most respected Audio magazines.

I have a 12 year old 31" Mits. tube and it has been fabulous.

I purchased a 65" HDTV RPTV two years ago as a RPTV skeptic and have been pleasantly surprised. I can't say enough good about them and their features.
