At CES there were DVI players from many of the majors.
None of it is in the stores yet so yes, Bravo or Sammy.

This leads me to a different question.
If you have a HD receiver with DVI out and a DVD player with DVI out but your TV only has one DVI input is there a switch box that can take both and send out to the TV or do you have to switch cables?

["I thought Pioneer has a DVI DVD player out in the market right now that is also a universal player."]
Pioneer does make a DVD player with DVI...It's the DV-59AVi...I've just learned that it has "HDMI"...Which is actually DVI with the added ability to send audio as well as video.

I've gone through three Bravo D1 players, and they all suck. While the DVI picture is fantastic on my 60" LCD display, that doesn't make a hoot of a difference if the player can't send the darned picture to my TV! Far too many low-end glitches and hangups for this player. Aside from the DVI, it's a piece of junk. My friends who also bought this player confirm that theirs exhibit the same problems as mine: terrible remote with no backlighting, FF and RW screw up the player, Pause screws up the player, sometimes discs must be re-instered two or three times before they "take" (if they work at all), and turning on and off this player is more annoying that you can imagine! (Those of you who have this player know what I'm talking about!)

I have only sold two of these players and neither client has contacted me over anything. A calibrator I know uses one and has not complained. I am sorry to hear both of you are having operational problems. Have you contacted Vinc?

I know you continue to mention those two people who bought Bravo players. That's two. TWO. I have seven friends with these players, and each of them knows one or two people who bought 'em. We have ALL contacted V. Inc., five of us got replacements, and all five of the replacements are only marginally better than the original models.
I can't tell you how eager we all are for Panasonic or someone out there to bring something to market below $300 with DVI that we can buy to replace our Bravo D1s. And we ain't selling them on eBay... we're throwing them away! I and my friends would never foist such a piece of junk on unsuspecting consumers.
I'm happy that your two (2) clients are happy, but just because they haven't called YOU doesn't mean they haven't experienced problems! Why don't you call THEM and ask if they're satisfied with their players' performance?
You must read other message boards and see all the talk about Bravo. Don't lead all the other members of this board down a bad road of awful equipment and poor customer service. Since you have no firsthand knowledge of the Bravo D1's poor features and good features, it would probably be better to not post that you know TWO (1+1) people in the entire country who may actually like their Bravo D1 player

I haven't sent it back to Bravo. I don't believe the things that are wrong with it will be fixed by doing so. Now I must point out that the picture is excellent. I also really like the fact that I never have to mess around with zooming. The Bravo does a good job with that. It is just very fussy. I had an instance where I wanted to watch Die Hard. It simply would not play. I turned it off and back on, which ususlly works, but still nothing. So I watched something else. The next day I threw it back in for the heck of it, and it played just fine. It also tends to choke on rental dvd's. If the dvd has any kind of a scratch, you can forget it. I'll toss it in my old Sony progressive and it plays just fine. At 199 bucks, to me, I can live with the quirks to get the PQ, until something comes along to replace it. My guess is that it will be Panasonic. The Denon and Pioneer offerings are to rich for my blood. Although I can live with the Bravo, and like the picture, I couldn't recommend it.

I am a dealer. I will be talking to one of my clients soon and will ask about his player. BTW, it was 3, not 2, and yes that is still not enough to be significant. The reason I carry it is for the same reason people are buying it; There is no competition except for the Samsung so choose your poison of problems and it appears most recommend the Bravo over the Samsung.
I suppose that these three people I know may look at it the same way Kiethf does; For the price and performance it works for the application which is again why I carry it. That said it is obvious that the Vinc Bravo is creating a negative impression that will severly affect future sales such as the new D3 slated for release May/June.
I am going to send an email to my contact at Vinc with a link to this thread for his comment.
Thanks for all the feedback!

I went to the Vinc website yesterday, and the new Bravo D2 is supposed to have a better cd rom drive. I think this will fix alot of the problems with this player. Also a new remote. It is rediculous to think you'd get a backlit remote, at Bravo's price. (Just needed to throw that in)

I got my HD931 over the Bravo because of the build quality issues that have been reported and it looks alot nicer. Of course I think a majority of people go with Bravo because it doesn't enforce HDCP which isn't following the rules.

I bought the Samsung HD931 and had to replace two of them. The first was hanging up on discs, and the second had some sort of malfunction with front panel buttons that controlled progressive on/off and the 480/720/1080 switching.
Third time was a charm, as they say. I haven't had any glitches with this one and it plays great thru the DVI. Remote sucks though. Pre-historic double function buttons for scene skipping and FF&REW, plus you usually have to hit a button two or three times before it works.
Hey, what do you want for $239?

If memory serves me right, I think I was scared off on the Samsung because it had issues with zooming. I have A Samsung Tv so it's not the name that scared me. Hell I bought a Bravo from some company started last week. I've looked at the Samsung since, and have thought about it, but now that I have the Bravo, I think I will live with it till something "kick A##" comes along.
