I am also in louisville and i have insight and i feel like there is no better choice. the mail thing insight offers that sat. does not is the local channels in HD, which is some of the best content out there. In addition you get HBO & Showtime if you have them already, espnHD, bravoHD, HDnet and HDnet movie and DiscoveryHD, plus the KET channels which suck. Plus if you want DVR capabilities you cant go wrong with insight. just got my new DVR/HD box a month ago and its been the best upgrade ever for my system. Plus if you are interested in high speed internet access you get a better rate for having cable. Plus you can get you phone thru them too and save even more money. I have had nothing but good experience with insight and would recommend them highly. |

Thanks Jon, I'am going to the Insight office monday to check on getting HD. I guess i'll try it first because I won't have to buy any equipment. |

I agree with Jon. Insight is a great HD value. I've got DirecTV HD, VOOM HD and Insight HD but since I got the Motorola 6208 DVR from Insight, I have found that Insight HD it is the majority of my viewing.
I did find the DVR limitations of 1 tuner and only an 80GB HD to be inadequate for my viewing habits so I just had Insight install a 2nd 6208. Both are hooked up to my same HDTV. So now I can view a live program while recording another and I have 160GB storage space for only $12.95 more a month.

How did you get away with 2 6208 boxes for same price? That is a very good idea. Let me know what you said to them. |

a single tuner is a major turnoff but that is one of the only drawbacks i have noticed. i heard that a dual tuner is in the works along with bigger hard drives so i think insight will be the way to go in the future. still looking for some more TIVO like functionality on the DVR part, but no complaints here for the most part. |

I just asked for it and they came and installed it. I made sure there was no additional charge other than the $12.95 for the second 6208 rental. |
