All DirecTV packages will go up $3. However, DirecTV will honor my one year committment price I made back in Septmeber.

My total price for 3 receivers, Total Choice Premier and the HD package will be $112.

I know the pricing thread was discussed before, so I wanted to make sure we noted the DirecTV price increase. I bet cable goes up by more than $3.

I know this sounds naive, but do you still feel that $112 a month is worth it? I'd personally like to add DirecTV, but going from basic cable + OTA for HD to over $100 a month is really discouraging.

.......when I watch HD versions of Die Another Day or Attack of the Clones on top volume in 5.1 Surround sound.....it helps ease the pain.

I even liked the Barry Manilow concert on HDNet Sunday night. Sounds was amazing and it almost felt like I was there.

I have the basic package 33.99 plus HD HBO 12.00 plus the High def package 10.00 for a total of 55.99...Not bad and I get everything I want...If they start showing better movies on Showtime then I just go on-line and switch from HBO to Showtime...and vise-versa.

Re: the BM concert. I'm glad you liked it. I'm glad I missed it. He writes the songs that make my whole head sting.

I also switched back and forth between the grammies and BM and I have to say it was a fabulous production. He's a great performer whether you like the songs or not (I do).
