I live in Tucson, AZ. We got it perfectly. It was interesting because I have Shrek on DVD. The kids and I did a comparison and the picture from OTA HD looked better than DVD, but they did not broadcast in 5.1 so everyone liked the DVD better. They really like the DVD in DTS the best.

I've seen a lot of HD in the last few months and I thought Shrek on NBC last night was great. Color was perfect, lines were perfect. I think it was better than the theater.

I'm assuming that this was a direct digital transfer and never touched film.

The NBC Website says they are going to show it again on Saturday.

I have made some direct visual comparisons and the difference was not overwhelming. but...

The DVD is like superbit, low compression. Since we are still watching an enhanced definition system low compression DVD can put the performance pressure on HD. That said, there was a difference, for the better and I would prefer the HD version over the very well done DVD for imaging anyway.

I have not watched the whole movie so no comment on audio problems.

I had the same cracking sounds occuring during the Shrek showing on NBC. Happened avery 5-7 seconds...very annoying! Went back to the NBA All-star (yawn) game...very annoying. Then turned TV off.

Hi guys,
Well whether you liked it or didn't last weekend you have a chance for a second opinion. NBC has got it on again this Saturday. Apart from that did I see Castaway is going to be on again?
