Just wanted to let others know that direct is offering a hdtv stb upgrade for 99.00 and up ,they dont offer this, you have to ask for it ,i got a samsung t160 stb with 3lnb dish installed for 99.00 with 6 months of hbo/showtime for 2.oo per month, best deal out there.

I called direct tv today and they said the only deal they have right now is the $299 offer! Who did you call to get the $99 offer?

You have to ask for the customer retention dept,took two calls for them to bring the price down,you have to wave a carrot under their nose and ask for the 99.00 hdtv package,each time you call they will drop the price ,you may also have to ask for a supervisor and tell them that some of your friends got the 99.oo deal.. you will see im right..
