I have the Dish High Def package and the pictures are great. I don't know if the receiver is the same or not. I have a Loewe TV and a Runco projector and it looks great on both.

I just got Dishnework a month ago. I got rid of cable. Only regret I have is not being able to get local channels in HD. I miss CBS HD. Oh well.. But yes, their promotion is true. You get a free HD Receiver (model 811). Eventhough I miss CBS HD, Discovery HD makes up for it. Dinosaur Plant or Jeff Corwin Experience is awesome!!

I looked at this last week. Yes its true, but then you pay $9.95 a month for 4 HD channels! They also offer their tivo units for free now too. They will give me two receivers, one with dual tuner tivo, one just a regular dual tuner, hbo, cimimax and the tivo subscription from $69 month. I would then just continue to use my ota tuner. I don't know whether to go with the hd unit or not. I think I am going to wait for them to get some more hd channels.
