Does anyone know if you can split the High Definition signal from one Sony HD 300 receiver to fit two HD televisions. I have a 65" mitsubishi and I am currently remodeling the kitchen and planning to put in a 17 inch hdtv flat panel. I want to split the HDTV YBG signal from one receiver to operate two tvs. I know they would have the same picture on the screen if this can be done. I can connect a second normal satellite feed to get a different picture but not HD.

A 17" screen, HDTV or not, will not look any better than a standard SD at 17". Bring the second feed to it and be happy. It's going to look very good anyway. You can't split the component feeds.

If you just get 3 Y-adapters from Radio Shack, the images on both sets will look very dark. The proper way to do what you want is to get a Component Distribution Amplifier. These are pricey since the market for them is small. Key Digital sells one. Hopefully Google will find you some more. Check the bandwidth carefully.

RDH,
If I read the specs right, the Sony HD300 has DVI, RGB and Component outputs. Maybe you could run RGB to the flat panel and component to the big screen?
