I have a Mitsubishi 65908 Diamond Series. I've had it for 3 years. It looks as good today as when I bought it. Actually it looks better because I tweaked it.

I have a sony KV-34XBR910 - again - not as big as the RPTVS - but i like quality over size. My set shows a beautiful HD picture - two of my friends have RPTVS - one uses cable and the other uses DTV for their HD programming - they were both blown away - How HD looked on my Direct view CRT. again it is all up to preference.

I have a brand new 57HX93 Toshiba. With the new Toshiba SD-5960 DVD player, hooked up using the HDMI to DVI. This thing has an out of this world picture. Of course I was watching a 1993 RCA P46160WK. Am hooking up my Yamaha RX-V470 Dolby Pro Logic Surround sound Receiver. Hope to upgrade to Digital sound before long. Lets just say "KID WITH NEW TOY".

I have had the Mitsubishi WS48511 for about a year and a half now. It's a CRT RVPT with built in HD tuner. The pictures are really great and even standard programs look good on it and that is not true of many sets. Some I saw in showrooms looked good with an HD program on but as soon as you tuned to an analog program the picture quality went to pot. The integrated tuner does a better job of handling HD programming than the signals I get from the same local channels via Comcast cable. And I still have a 30 year old antenna on my roof from the days before cable. It's physical size is the down side compared to the latest technology out there but the picture blows away any I have seen on any LCD or other rear view presentations.

*Sony KP-61H30 (yes a 4:3 HD monitor which I think has a great HD and DVD picture -- qualified by my very unexpert opinion).
*Panasonic 47wx53 (don't even mind watching SD in the "just" mode)
*Panasonic TU-DST52 OTA HDTV receiver
*Denon DVD-1600 (with DVD Audio)
*Panasonic DVD RP-56
Perhaps others know this already, but my Denon DVD player appears to be made by Panasonic. The setup menu of the Denon and the Panny are the exact same. The Panasonic remote works the Denon player (with the default Panny programming)
Toshiba 40H80 calibrated by Michael Chen (michaelTLV) of The Laser Video Experience in Calgary, AB and I live in Atlanta!!!
Michael is one of the formost calibrtors out their and I am so glad he had the time to do mine. 4 years and counting on the calibration and it still looks as good as the day he did it.
