I know it's kinda late to bring this up, perhaps, but is anyone besides me annoyed watching the CBS golf matches? One camera is SD, the next is HD, etc. etc. etc. Nice sharp lovely picture, crappy out of focus shot, nice sharp picture, out of focus shot, again, etc. etc. etc. I just find that hard to watch for 3 hours. Maybe if I traded in my 50 inch plasma for a 19 inch Sony.......

Well, I guess we'll just need to be patient with it all. I thought the HD broadcast of the Masters was awesome on HD! I have found other HD broadcasts to be mixed, like you say, some good and some bad shots. At least CBS has taken a step forward and broadcasting its golf in hd. If any sport is designed for HD, I think its golf. Hopefully, we will soon be able to see all the major tournaments in good quality hd and others as well. So, I would say hold on to that plasma and be patient!

Agree ... the Masters was awesome.

However, I tuned into a golf match the following week ... I saw mostly 16:9 SDTV cameras. I gave up after a few minutes ... I just will not watch that crap.

My feelings are this ... either do HDTV right or don't do it at all.

According to an article I had read earlier..... they had only 6 HD cameras for these PGA tours..... the rest being SD...

The real problem is the Protable camera's... that still must be "teathered" by cable... Wireless HD versions... are close to a-half million dollars a-piece..... and put out so much power for the "huge" HD signal... that the camera-men can get brain damage... if they use too much.

...Till the technmology catches up... PART-HD is STILL BETTER THAN NO HD golf!!!

The tour stop this week was a bit annoying but I agree with Ben that some HD is better than none. Was it just me or were some SD cameras bad and some SD cameras REALLY bad? Are the portable SD cameras even worse than the ones mounted in the towers?
