For those of you who are the proud owners of a time-travelling device: if you set your machine to October 1, you can go and see our show at the Funtime Fest in Aarschot. In other words, your favourite rockband performed there and it was a real last-minute thing so we didn’t get the chance to get the word out.
Some bands cancelled, and as Gerd & Gerry were already at the festival, Jimmy was not too far away and wombat’s ford fiesta is faster than lightning, we were able to perform yet another kick-ass show. Muchos gracias to upperdread Johan for having us and JimmyTurbo for getting us gear and everything.
If anyone has pictures of the show, please mail’m.
And a word from the wise: human pregnancies take 9 months. That is a scientific fact. If the doc says you have to give birth the first weekend of October, you probably will. So if you’re in a band and your girl is pregnant, don’t book a cd-release party on that day. Chances are pretty high that you won’t be able to play.
More wisdom: if your bass-player is in Portugal, you can’t play a show in Belgium.
Not that we’re complaining about this, thanks to those stupidities the Murdocks were able to play.
By the way, Sunday October 23 we’ll be playing at Rockcafé in Leuven with Dick Black, rock’n’roll extravaganza guaranteed. Better show up, good shows are getting rare.
Peace
The murdocks
