Unfortunately, Bertrando has a reputation of siring 7 to 8 furlong horses at best. Beyond that, Officer may have hit the wall - it's hard to say.
Now it sounds as if Tiznow may be retired rather than racing next year.
**Groan**! I was SO hoping we could see a healthy and happy Tiznow for at least a couple more races. The flash that he showed in the Santa Anita Derby seemed to be precursor of awesome performances. I still don't think he was 100% in the Breeders Cup, but he sure pulled off a gutsy move to win.
Tiznow represented the best direct offspring of Man o' War since War Admiral and Seabiscuit - and now he may be retired to stud before we got a chance to REALLY see him run.
