"I find it unfair logic to say that with your three facts, Man O'War is the superiour horse."
Beth was simply stating a few reasons amongst many, and she didn't clutter her front page by getting too detailed w/them.
"but what you said about a horse not holding 130 in the days of Secretariat, etc., is wrond. At age three, Secretariat held the all-high 135lbs in race with a slow track, and won setting a track record for that distance that still stands today."
I don't know to which race you possibly refer, as Sec set about 5 track records, but the weight does not identify it. His MAXIMUM load ever carried was 126! That's One-Hundred Twenty-Six, so you don't think I made a numerical typo.
"And as a true Man O' War fan, I am sure you know that War Admiral broke all of Man O' War's records."
Where? All of Man's 8 (eight) records? Not true. In fact, while I don't have ALL the MOW-breaking records, I have most and War Admiral is not among them.
"And if War Admiral beat all Man O' War's records, then why isn't it logical to say that the bow-legged, ugly, mud-colored Seabiscuit is a superiour horse?"
Like Tulloch said, 1 race does not a definitive answer give. How many horses have you seen who have met multiple times and have beaten each other interchangeably?
Besides this, again you mistake pure times for what I'll call "adjusted" times. Beyer figures are meant for that purpose. Even from 1 race to the next on the same card you cannot necessarily compare absolute times, only on the surface.
