I just like it, and it's rare to find any action paintings of Man O'War - at best we get old sway-backed Man w/a groom in a field. (It's the truth!) I don't think it's fair to him, anymore than I think it's fair Washington and all his generals are shown like fat old men during the Revolution. And for that, the accuracy is more important - and not there at the same time! I regard Man race paintings like RevWar battle paintings - few and far between. Maybe not all are accurate per se, but if they convey the action of the moment in a manner accurate to the figures in the pix themselves, that's all I can really ask until they become more popular subjects! JMHO
