If you'll note, I do believe those barns are slated for saving as well as the plantation graveyard (which must under law - unless you don't get caught, but we have caught them). I'd have to check some files again and see if I have the info written down or in a local Salisbury Daily-Times article, but I'm quite sure that's the deal. The actual developer is Taylor Construction in VA.
Frankly, I was rather hoping the track could be saved in preference. That's where the action was - and tracks are a neat sight. Plus, the graveyard is dead center of it as I hear. But I guess a track takes too much room away from their homes and golf traps.
