as murphys law would have it i could not find one of my many books that mention native dancers 29 ft stride but when i locate it i will post the author and book title.i quote that earl sande stated ''riding man o'war was the best horse i ever rode it was like man o'war was a cadillac''compared to a ford, earl sande i note had ridden sir barton,i also note at the last moment before the match race between man o'war and sir barton that mr sande was ''coincitently not allowed to ride sir barton for that race[i think i know why].i've also read that man o'war had a measurement of ''76 and maybe more'i know man o'war ran in very very high jackrabbit time saving long strides with head held proud and aloft i believe my grandpa listend to man o'wars funeral he was a dry ''yankee with sad wet eyes that sad day i was only a small boy that year[1947]keep up the good work .remember man o'war was my horse of the century even before he was voted such.i recall will, knapps statement ''if i had of moved over one inch man'o'war would of beaten ''upset from ''heck to jalopy'.computers state that man o'war if bred to proper fillies his offspring would have been like horses with jet engines not many 2 year olds toted 130 pounds or 138 pounds at age 3 years if man o;war had raced in 1921 handicappers threatend to strap him with 150 pounds'.[note native dancer was i believe 17 hands high.anyway i measure all horses by man o'war excuse my typing.
