Empire Maker has an interesting pedigree with MOW influences. He is in-bred 4X3 to In Reality ( the direct male line from Fair Play/MOW). The family of his sire, Unbridled, is from Aspirdistra. When Aspirdistra (also the dam of Dr. Fager, who was the great grandsire of Unbridled) was bred to Intentionally, In Reality's sire, the result had been the great champion Ta Wee. In general, Empire Maker is from the cross of Mr. Prospector over In Reality, which produced Unbridled in the first place. In Empire Maker's case, Unbridled was bred back to strenght in his dam's family. This stragegy has produced several good runners, such as Banshee Breeze.
